Do I need to use Microsoft Internet Explorer as my Web browser?
It is necessary to set MS IE as your default browser for Actioneer to work, but that does not prevent you from opening any other browser and using it manually whenever you like.

Do the new versions continue support for the functions of previous Actioneer versions?
Only the Web access functions of previous versions are continued in the new versions. PIM support (for calendar, email, etc.) is not for now included—we may bring such features back into the new product in the future. Support for accessing Lotus Notes databases and SQL and Access databases has been discontinued on the grounds that just about all such data is now Web-accessible.

When I uninstall Actioneer using the Remove Programs feature of Windows, what happens?
All the files previously installed by the Installer are removed. Left behind are any files the installer/uninstaller does not k now about. These include your Actioneer Personal Data files, all created by you after the installation and conveniently included in one folder, your Personal Data Folder under Program Files/Actioneer/ActioneerPM. This means that your encrypted password files and your personal profile, plus any keyword aliases you have entered, are all preserved if you uninstall Actioneer in preparation for installing a new updated version in the future. If you want these files removed from your local disk, manually delete them.

Does Actioneer send information anywhere except to the site specified in the Connector?
No, no information is collected or sent anywhere except to the Web destination associated with the connector. In some cases, the message sent to the Web destination includes tag data identifying Actioneer for affiliate program revenue sharing purposes. Such revenue is what makes it possible for us to offer these programs for free download.

I am an IT manager. Can my company deploy Actioneer to its IT users?
The license for use of Actioneer is for individual users who may use the product at home and at work. For enterprise use, please contact us. We encourage such use, under a different license which entails a small fee.

Is the Actioneer product patented?
Actioneer is protected by four issued patents plus several patents pending or applied for.

Is support available for earlier versions of Actioneer?
Though all earlier versions are now discontinued, limited support is available. Send us a request to Support.

I have discovered a Connector that does not seem to work as it should. What do I do?
If you experience a non-working Connector, please let us know about it by sending email to Feedback or Support. We will repair it and post a revised connector on our Web site. Please check our Web site from time to time for new and updated connectors, which you can easily copy to your disk.

There is a Web site I would like to access via Actioneer, but no connector is available for it. Can you provide one?
Your suggestions for additional connectors are welcome at Feedback We will try to accommodate all reasonable requests. We will soon publish a document describing how an advanced computer user can create new connectors.
